Hiding in
Plain Sight

Photographs exploring mood, irony, wonder,
and the moments that often go unnoticed.

Artist Statement

My images explore mood, irony, wonder, and the moments that often go unnoticed in everyday life.

I am fascinated by what people overlook. Familiar landmarks, fleeting interactions, changing weather, and quiet details hiding in plain sight. Through observation, timing, light, and atmosphere, I look for the stories and emotions that exist just beyond where most people direct their attention.

I am less interested in documenting a place than in revealing how it feels to be there. My photographs invite viewers to pause, look again, and discover what may have been in front of them all along.

The work begins with four questions

I

What have we stopped seeing because it has become familiar?

II

What is happening around us while we are focused elsewhere?

III

How do light, weather, and perspective change our understanding of a place?

IV

What stories, emotions, and connections are hiding in plain sight?
